FAQ - Frequently asked questions about Dubai

The best time to visit Dubai is between November and April, when temperatures are pleasant (averaging 25°C to 30°C during the day), ideal for enjoying outdoor activities and beaches. This season corresponds to the local winter and avoids the extreme heat of summer, when temperatures can reach 45°C.

December to February is particularly pleasant thanks to the mild climate, but it's also the high tourist season, with rates often higher. If you're looking for a good compromise between mild weather and attractive rates, look no further than November and March.

French, Belgian and Swiss nationals do not need a visa to travel to Dubai. They benefit from a free tourist visa issued on arrival in the United Arab Emirates, valid for 90 days. To take advantage of this facility, all you need to present is a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry.

If your nationality is different, or if you are planning a long-term stay, contact the UAE embassy in your country for specific information on entry formalities.

The budget required for a stay in Dubai depends on your travel style and the activities you wish to enjoy. On average, allow between 150 and 200 euros per day per person to comfortably cover the cost of accommodation, meals in average to good restaurants, travel by cab or public transport and a few must-do activities.

Tighter budgets can expect to pay around 100 euros per day for budget accommodation, while luxury travelers will need to budget 300 euros or more per day to take full advantage of Dubai's prestigious establishments, gourmet restaurants, exclusive activities and luxury boutiques.

Dubai is packed with must-see activities. These include a visit to the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, offering breathtaking views from its observation platform. And don't miss a desert safari for an authentic experience including a 4×4 ride, sunset in the dunes and a traditional dinner.

Shopping enthusiasts will love the huge malls like the Dubai Mall or the traditional souks, notably the Gold and Spice Souk. For relaxation, explore the magnificent beaches or spend a day at a trendy beach club. Last but not least, discovering Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah or the old quarter of Al Fahidi are among the most popular experiences for visitors.

Getting around Dubai is particularly easy thanks to a modern and efficient public transport network, including metro, bus and streetcar. The Dubai Metro serves the main tourist attractions quickly and economically. Cabs are also very affordable, safe and available 24 hours a day, making it easy to get around at any time.

For total freedom, car rental remains an excellent option, very practical if you plan to leave the city or explore other emirates such as Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. To rent a car, you need an international driving license and a valid credit card.
