Luxury-Hotels.com's survey of the most expensive hotels in the Gulf ranks the Burj Al Arab, the Al Maha Resort and Zighy Bay in Oman as the most expensive hotels for a stay in the Gulf.
The Burj Al Arab is the most expensive hotel in the Middle East, according to a study by Luxury-Hotels.com, which compared the most affordable double room prices for a range of hotels in the region.
With November as a basis for comparison, this is the time when rates are highest in the Middle East, as the warm season begins.
With a minimum per night of $1,928, the Burj Al Arab, in addition to being an internationally recognized icon, tops this ranking, ahead of the Al Maha Resort, $1,776 per night, and the Zighy Bay Six Senses in Oman, $1,330 per night and easily accessible from Dubai by seaplane, for example.
Six other hotels in Dubai complete the top 10, and just one in Abu Dhabi. By way of comparison, Qatar's most expensive hotel, the Banana Island in Doha, starts at $331 per night.
